Moonrise Systems Inc. is the owner and publisher of NetStop©, a very popular software used by Internet kiosk and café operators. Moonrise Systems Inc. is proud and excited to announce our latest product Passym Wi-Fi ( passim is a Latin word and means ‘everywhere’). We are one company from a small group of wireless connectivity providers using the 802.11b protocol. Unlike the telecom conglomerates and their proprietary infrastructure, this open architecture allows for quick, affordable and seamless deployment. The end user is the biggest beneficiary, now able to have high speed and reliable wireless connectivity. The site owner broadcasting the wireless signal derives revenue from every user that connects to the signal. Every minute of usage is tracked, recorded and billed.

Passym Wi-Fi, is a complete secure broadcasting, authentication, metering and billing product. Our wireless business model is unlike any other available.

We empower the reseller and/or the site owner and put them in control of their customer and revenues. Other wireless service models make the network provider a customer under them, collect the money, and redistribute a very small percentage of the generated revenues. Moreover their business model is totally subscription based, not unlike cellphone or cable TV, and very dependent on “roaming” usage wherein complex revenue sharing agreements have to be undertaken with other site owners. Of course, the benefits of ROAMING are praised by them to justify the high subscription charges to the user and low payments to the network service provider. A report by Cahner’s In-Stat/MDR group, predicts 90% of the wireless access revenue generated this year will come from pay-per-use customers. Starting in 2003 subscriptions will begin to grow and by 2006, the firm predicts, half of public-access users will be subscribers, while the other half will, most likely, continue to be pay-per-use group.
